On our way from Rachel’s to Charleston for the birthday bash we’ll be stoping of at Brookgreen Gardens to the sculpture garden that’s now been renamed to the Archer and Anna Hyatt Huntington Sculpture Gardens.
Mark has never been to what must be one of the US’s largest outdoor sculpture gardens with over 900 pieces, many of them huge, from the early 1800’s on. They also have a couple of large indoor sculpture exhibits with many spectacular pieces.
Some of my favorites out of the well known pieces are Don Quixote, The Thinker (a macabre old thinker by Henry Clews) and the Little Girl with Rabbit. Oh and the Pegasus that’s the size of my bath room is pretty fantastic too.
